[Edaily Reporter Park Soon-yeop] Security equipment specialist Hitron (019490) Systems announced on the 1st that it signed a business agreement with Daegu Jung-gu Office to create a safe urban environment based on artificial intelligence (AI) CCTV solutions. Hitron Systems plans to introduce AI CCTV solutions to downtown areas and markets with high traffic volumes in Jung-gu, Daegu to prevent safety accidents. Daegu Jung-gu Office, which is promoting the designation of a tourism special zone, expects that through collaboration with Hitron Systems, which has AI CCTV technology, it will be able to secure safety in areas with high traffic volumes such as Banwoldang Station and Seomun Market. Hitron Systems plans to install a number of PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) cameras that can be remotely rotated and zoomed and have excellent infrared (IR) performance and excellent nighttime surveillance performance on the ‘Kim Gwang-seok Street (Kim Gwang-seok Street)’ near Bangcheon Market in Daebong-dong to resolve safety blind spots during the day and night. A ‘smart station’ will also be installed at Banwoldang Station, which has the most entrances and exits in Korea (23). Smart stations are solutions that enhance the existing monitoring system of subway stations with CCTV and 3D maps. Based on its experience in operating smart stations in Seoul subway stations, Hitron Systems will install smart stations at all entrances and exits of Banwoldang Station to provide functions such as preventing safety accidents, preemptively assessing congestion, and detecting passengers falling. AI CCTVs will also be installed at Seomun Market, the largest traditional market in Daegu, to detect safety accidents, floating population, and traffic congestion. In particular, considering the characteristics of the market where large and small fire accidents were frequent, high-performance fire prevention AI CCTVs that combine AI CCTV and sound field change analysis technology will be introduced. In addition, a public on-street parking lot based on an AI CCTV control system jointly operated with Aegispark will be installed near the market and in downtown areas where parking space is absolutely insufficient, to create safe and efficient parking spaces. Kim Min-sik, CEO of Haitron Systems, said, “We will do our best to contribute to ensuring urban safety in Jung-gu by utilizing Haitron Systems’ AI CCTV technology, subway station smart stations, and on-street parking lot management and operation know-how.” |
